Solving one layer at a time, from the bottom up.

Now hold the cube with the white center on the bottom, yellow on top, and green facing you. We'll call this the solving grip. We'll solve the cube one layer at a time, from the bottom up, like building a house. First, a white cross on the bottom. Then the four white corners, which finishes the first layer. Then the four edges of the middle layer. And finally the yellow layer on top, in four short steps. Each step keeps the work you've already done. Let's begin.
